The final act of the Volleyball Nations League, the prestigious international competition taking place in Rimini, is approaching, which on Thursday and Friday will see the four best women’s teams on the field for the Final Four. Four Igor Volley blues are still in the running: Rosamaria’s Brazil will challenge Japan in the semifinals (16.00), while Hancock and Washington’s USA will experience a sort of all-Novara derby with Karakurt’s Turkey in the other semifinal (19.30). On Friday at 4 p.m. the final for the bronze medal and to follow, at 7.30 p.m., the final.
For four Italians still in the hunt for success, four were the Igorines who stood out at an individual level, imposing themselves in the performance rankings. Eleonora Fersino, the new blue libero, has in fact established herself as the best reception of the entire tournament, with an efficiency of 44.96% and just 6 errors made in 15 games. Even better did Britt Herbots, who dragged her Belgium by establishing herself as the absolute top scorer of the event with 337 points scored, the result of 314 attacks, 12 blocks and 11 aces. At the foot of the “podium” of the scorers’ standings, a splendid all-Italian duel between Ebrar Karakurt (fourth with 243 points, the result of 212 attacks, 14 blocks and 17 aces) and Nika Daalderop (fifth with 242 points, from 208 attacks, 19 blocks and 15 aces).
