Tenth success in the championship for Stefano Lavarini’s Igor Volley, victorious in three sets over Trento in the match valid for the eleventh day of the championship. MVP title of the match for captain Chirichella, author of 11 points over a match that was in fact always kept under control by the Azzurre, who changed pace in the middle of the first set and no longer slowed down (except for a small empty pass in the middle of the second set).

Novara on the field with Hancock in the direction and Karakurt diagonally, Bonifacio and Chirichella in the center, Daalderop and Bosetti in the band and Fersino free; Trento with Rivero opposite Raskie, Furlan and Berti central, Nizetich and Piva spikers and Moro free.

Novara immediately puts its head ahead with Daalderop (maniout) and Chirichella (fast) at 5-4 and after Furlan’s guest break 6-7, it is the Azzurre who raise the pace, overtaking with Bonifacio’s block (9-8) and extending 12-9 with Karakurt’s diagonal to concretize a great defense of the blue center. Chirichella (13-9) and Piva (13-11) duel, then Bosetti’s parallel shots and the Italian captain’s serve are worth 18-14 with Daalderop who escapes on 22-15 in the pipe; Hancock’s serving turn continues until 24-15 made by Karakurt, then Bosetti closes the accounts on 25-16 in parallel.

It is again Bosetti who signs the first blue break of the second set (2-0) on the block, while Daalderop and Chirichella immediately extend 6-2 with Trento who at 8-2 is forced to stop the game. Nizetich serves 8-4 (ace), Daalderop restores the distance (11-4, maniout) while Bertini inserts Stocco in the direction; the newcomer signs the ace of 13-7 and propitiates the Trentino counterbreak, with the guests returning up to 14-12 with an error in attack by Karakurt. Novara takes advantage of Hancock’s vein in serve: two aces propitiated by the deflection of the tape (18-12) put the set downhill and shortly after the newcomer Herbots finds the winning serve of 22-16. Trento no longer reacts and D’Odorico wins the set ball (24-19) with an error in attack by Piva that is worth 2-0 at 25-19.

Trento starts again by changing diagonals (inside Stocco and Botarelli) but Novara immediately extends with the ace of Daalderop (6-5) who kicks off the break that continues until 10-5 with Bosetti scoring on the block. Again the Dutch spiker shows off (15-8, maniout) and after Trento’s timeout Novara places the decisive stretch with the usual Daalderop who makes 19-9. Chirichella approaches the finish line by nailing the 24-12, then an invasion of Trento ends the match on 25-13.
