The 2022-2023 Igor will start again from its flag, Cristina Chirichella, who after eight years in the Azzurri has signed a new two-year contract (with an option on the third year) with the Novara club. For her, therefore, the prospect of reaching at least ten seasons in the blue jersey, further tying herself to the club with which she has shared all the successes in the Italian and international field.

There are 332 appearances totaled so far by the Neapolitan center, captain of the club since 2020, with 2257 points scored: in both cases, Cristina Chirichella is the “record-holder” in the history of the Novara association in Serie A1. During her eight years in Novara, Cristina won a Champions League, a Scudetto, three Italian Cups and a Super Cup, even coming close to the podium in the 2020 Club World Cup.
