Innovation days, the factory of the future and sustainable challenges: yesterday, Wednesday 12 May , the event dedicated to the digital transition of Sole 24 Ore and Confindustria was held, the second of eight stops in the Italian territories and industrial districts to tell the new challenges and new objectives of Italy as it restarts.
Digitization and sustainability emerge as the new priorities of the strategic choices made by Piedmontese and Ligurian companies in the various sectors, from automotive to food, in this difficult but transformative historical moment.
Fabio Leonardi, CEO of Igor Gorgonzola, spoke on the topic of technology that creates jobs , recounting the important investment in technology made in the three-year period 2017-2019, in order to automate and digitize the systems of the company’s production plants.
The result is, for example, in the absolute traceability of the product, in the real-time information on the entrances to the warehouse thanks to RFID technology, in the connection of the drivers with the system to signal in advance the quality of the milk supplied by the farmers.
A technological breakthrough that has also managed to combine with an important growth in terms of jobs, as Fabio Leonardi recalls: “in a few years we have gone from 200 to 320 employees: it is appropriate to say that technology, by bringing competitiveness, creates jobs”.
Combining tradition and modernity, seizing the new market opportunities that technology offers to industry, this is Igor Gorgonzola’s priority with the aim of continuing to offer a made in Italy product of the highest quality all over the world.
